2020 Year Review. A year that long be remembered.

The year 2020 will undoubtedly go down in history. The last year affected many aspects of our lives, it changed our communication, education and business processes. It also affected PHOTOMOD users’ demands.

Software. At the end of the year we presented the new version of PHOTOMOD software complex 7.0, distinguished not only by significant performance gains and extended functionality, but also by elements of new approach to photogrammetric processing of the Earth remote sensing data.

Despite the severe pandemic restrictions, PHOTOMOD gained 45 new corporate users, including 10 foreign companies from Australia, Germany, Greece, India, Hungary, China, Pakistan, USA and Bulgaria.

Several online training sessions were held, including those organised by our partners using the PHOTOMOD StereoClient technology. This solution has an immersive stereomode that allows online users to experience the presence of the instructor by their side.

RSD data and production projects. In the course of the previous year RSD group specialists provided the clients with data for the area of more than 50 000 km². SAR data processing project was actively developed. As a part of Sentinel data processing an informational material was prepared for PHOTOMOD Radar software users.
Our production department implemented several major projects, including processing of more than 100 000 images received by an unmanned aerial vehicle.

Conferences and expos. Many industry expos and conferences were cancelled or postponed last year. Unfortunately, our conference «From Imagery to Digital Reality: ERS & Photogrammetry» was postponed as well - it will be held (we hope) in September this year. ISPRS Congress will now take place physicaly in 2022.

However, Racurs specialists took part in XI International Scientific and Practical Conference «Geodesy, Mine Survey, Aerial Survey. At the turn of the century» (Moscow, Russia) and «Geodesy, Cartography and Digital Reality» (Sochi, Russia). Some of the events were held online, such as INTERGEO DIGITAL 2020.

Online Workshop «PHOTOMOD. Technologies and Services for Remote Work» was organised with the participation of our partners. This workshop brought together around 50 professionals from different regions of Russia and foreign countries.

Last year we launched several important projects related to development and services, which made a big contribution for positive results in 2021.
